Company History

The Kent Tea & Trading Company is a family company established in 1982. Three generations of the Smith family have been involved in India in the tea trade. Grandfather Robert Stammers was a tea planter for over thirty years on the "Behora" tea estate (see picture). My Father Malcolm Smith managed one of India's largest tea plantation companies based in Calcutta.

On returning to England the baton was passed on and now Mrs Janet Smith and son Richard Smith continue the fine tradition of supplying finest teas and coffees. Established now for over twenty years the Kent Tea & Trading Company continues to develop a reputation for highest quality teas and coffees.
